Equal Dignity, Shared Future
From Exclusion to Inclusion
In Uganda,
•School attendance of children with disabilities: less than 9%
•Opportunities for secondary, transition, or adult education: almost none
•As a result, many children are excluded from learning and face social isolation
In Uganda, children with disabilities are still often viewed as a curse or ancestral wrath, and in tragic cases, even sacrificed.
Joy Uganda Inclusive School will dispel this darkness and open a path of hope, where every child can live with dignity as made in God’s image.
“The image of God is revealed in the way we treat one another.” – Dietrich Bonhoeffer –

A creative Shift in the Perception of Disability
On October 18, 2025, at the Intellectual Disabilities Conference, Dr. H. Daniel Kim, the Director of Joy Center, delivered the keynote address.
Educational
We believe that every child has God-given potential. Through inclusive learning and faith-based education, Joy Uganda provides opportunities for children with and without disabilities to grow in knowledge, dignity, and hope.
“Education opens the mind and restores dignity.”
Vocational
Our vocational programs equip youth and adults with practical skills for daily life — tailoring, beauty, agriculture, and technology training. These initiatives empower individuals to achieve economic independence and sustainable livelihoods.
“Learning a skill means earning a future.”
humanitarian
We serve vulnerable families and communities through food distribution, medical care, and relief support.
Every act of compassion reflects God’s love in tangible ways, ensuring that no one is left behind.
“Humanity is the first language of love.”
